1 - SKETCHES

2 - COLLECTING THE WOOL

 

On the 14th of January 2009 the wool was collected from S. Lyles & Sons of Dewsbury, stored in a rented Bingley cottage and driven to London on the 15th.

This Bingley sheep farm is a source for the wool.

51 kilos of wool on card cones has been collected from the spinners and brought to a rented cottage.

3 - LONDON STUDIO - MAKING THE WOOL HANK

 

Studio work started on the 22nd January 2009.

The two week gap in studio work has been devoted to researching the logistics and mechanics of suspending the piece in the church. Also the donation of another 25kilos of wool has allowed resumption of making today.

The last day of making in the studio - the piece will be packed for transport tonight.
